Meaning of the Mati (Μάτι)
The Mati (Μάτι), or Evil Eye, is an ancient Greek symbol deeply rooted in Mediterranean culture. It has long been used to protect against negative energy, jealousy, and misfortune, serving as a reminder of resilience, awareness, and interconnectedness. I chose the Mati as my logo because it reflects the essence of my consulting work: fostering equity, inclusion, and systems change while offering clarity and protection in navigating complex challenges.
The overlapping circles in the logo represent interconnected systems, relationships, and the ripple effects of change. The colors further reflect my heritage and values—the blue represents the Mediterranean Sea, a source of life, movement, and connection; the olive hue symbolizes the olive tree, an enduring emblem of wisdom, peace, and prosperity in Greek culture. The deep brown represents grounding, depth, and transformation—it is the color of rich soil, where roots grow deep and new possibilities take shape. Just as change happens beneath the surface before it becomes visible, my work focuses on shifting systems at their core to create lasting impact.
The Mati is more than just a symbol—it's a reflection of my approach to consulting. By centering equity, clarity, and transformation, I help organizations navigate complexity, strengthen their foundations, and create lasting change.
